Being able to adapt and solve problems is what has enabled humans to flourish.  I believe we ALL have the ability to successfully, sustainably solve our problems if we're open to changing what we're doing.... it's a matter of knowing how, and getting the right support.  We don't have to rely on willpower and discipline to get the wellbeing outcomes we want, and we don't have to remain hostage to the failings of our current food/health systems.  I'm passionate about building LIFESTYLE MEDICINE resources and services that enable transformational change.

I'm living testimony to the power of transformation - 3 decades of obesity struggles, a cervical cancer scare, a pre-diabetes diagnosis and 4 prescriptions ALL GONE!  I've been applying the principles of LIFESTYLE MEDICINE since 2011.

I believe the food you eat can change your life.  Learning how to feel confident with your culinary skills and select nutrient dense foods is an empowering tool for moving you forward towards optimal wellbeing.  The food you eat provides the building blocks for every function in your body.  In order for our bodies to feel and function their best, we need to provide the body with foods that are rich in nutrients every day! I am here to empower YOU to be your best self!

We ALL have an opportunity, every day, to get closer to sustainable wellbeing, so we can live long, vibrant lives.

Chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, gastrointestinal disorders, autoimmune disease and high blood pressure don't have to happen.  The food we eat, and how we live our lives determines how chronic diseases manifest or progress...... IT'S A CHOICE.... we are more in control of our health and wellbeing than we have been conditioned to believe.  Marketing and social influencing are powerful distractors from the truth.   

 

When we ADOPT A LIFESTYLE that embraces the six pillars of wellbeing we can slow down, and may even reverse/stop disease progression so we can get back to living full and vibrant lives.

We are here to support you on your unique journey, regardless of what stage of readiness you are at..... from "I'm not sure I even want to do this" all the way up to "show me how, I'm ready!"

You are the captain, and we're your co-pilots, ready to listen to you and support you, providing evidence based nutrition counseling and guiding you through each stage of change, so you can achieve sustainable wellbeing. 

Registered Dietitians

What do they do?

Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (aka RDNs) are food and nutrition experts, that can provide a number of personalized services:

- nutrition assessment, with recommendations

- discuss how to help you manage your chronic diseases, inflammatory diseases, food sensitivities and/or food allergies

- assist you in defining SMART goals to attain your nutrition objectives

- guide you to develop your kitchen pantry, home environment and grocery shopping techniques so they are in line with your nutrition goals

- educate you in understanding Nutrition Label facts and food ingredients

- work with you to develop your culinary knowledge, skills and confidence in creating plant-centric recipes and menus

Health Coaches

What do they do?

Health coaches (aka Wellness coaches) are behavior change experts in the health and wellness space.  They've received education and training in Behavioral Medicine, and understand what makes us able to change our health/wellbeing-related behaviors...... or not, and most important of all, they know HOW to help those looking to make sustainable changes in their lives.

 

YOU ARE UNIQUE... and so is your journey to sustainable wellbeing, and YOU KNOW YOU BEST, so Health Coaches team up with you to formulate a bio-individual, multi-dimensional, holistic plan that will get you where you want to be.  

Health coaches will help you:

- navigate the stages and processes of change

- become a critical thinker on topics related to food and wellbeing

- establish and integrate healthy habits into your daily routine, and the other components that make up your life

- develop problem solving skills

- acquire a toolbox of strategies and tactics to help you smartly navigate our unhealthy world

All of this, and more, so you can ADOPT A LIFESTYLE that sustainably supports optimal weight and wellbeing.
